Since the discovery of osseointegration, scientists and clinicians have been focusing on methods to enhance osseointegration by improving implant design characteristics, such as thread and implant body design.
The innovative technology of PBM Implant aims to enhance osseointegration and initial stability of the implant and improve the healing of the bone and surrounding tissues, thus improving implant and bone grafting success rates. By enhancing the biology and the person’s own healing process, PBM Implant allows implant treatment to be considered in patients who may not have been a candidate before due to medical compromise, timing and other concerns. The use of photobiomodulation after the placement of the prosthesis can also enhance soft and hard tissue health to combat prevent periimplantitis.
This webinar will review the scientific and clinical application of photobiomodulation in implants, bone grafting and soft tissues.
